In the fall of 2017 the Bloomberg design studio, along with the various product teams, began the process of updating the way in which the Bloomberg Terminal product demo and promotional videos were made. The team, led by Chris Briseno, Dinah Huntoon, and Juan David Manotas, opted to move away from the lo-fi screen capture videos and create videos that worked to better explain the benefits of the products.
Over the course of my brief time at Bloomberg I art directed and storyboarded four product videos. Working with product managers and copywriters I distilled the core ideas and benefits of the products into a narrative of visual metaphors and product demonstrations. I was able to work with the team at Spontaneous to make sure the animations were accurately conveying the message. The resulting videos gained higher views and outreach than the previous iterations.
